What this is
Amateur Engineers is a hand-picked catalog of the 3D printing tools, resources, stores, creators and models I come across. It started as an overgrown bookmarks folder; this site turns it into something searchable and shareable for anyone looking for the same things.
Who maintains it
The catalog is curated and maintained by DJ3D Printing. Every listing is added and checked by hand.
How it is organized
- Categories — every listing belongs to one: Tools, Resources, Stores, Creators or Models.
- Tags — up to three per listing, describing its topic or area.
Update path
Planned improvements, roughly in order:
- Listing submissions — a form where anyone can suggest a site for the catalog.
- Ratings without accounts — a quick way to rate listings, no sign-up required.
- Owner-supplied details — listing owners can send in their own descriptions and tags.
- Listing Managers — creators and companies can manage their own listing page and keep it current, whether that is a new product, a new project or a holiday update.
